82 GS450 carb vent

Where do the two carb vents go? Neither one had a hose of any sort hooked to them when I pulled off the carb, how much would that effect the way the engine is running?

If you're talking about the two vents that face each other when the carbs are mounted then those are overflow vents. They should have about a foot or so of hose connected. These hoses drain onto the ground incase of overflow. If these hoses are not connected any overflow fuel will drain onto the engine.

Yes those are exactly the two vents I was referring to. Besides ordering online, where can you pick up some tubing that size?

I purchased mine at the local Suzuki shop. It was $1 or 2 per foot. I get a lot of things from my local TrueValue. Nuts, bolts, washers, they sell black vacuum line in the plumbing section. It's around .50 per foot. So you're looking at around $1-4 bucks max.
