I am considering customizing the stock pipes by cutting out the baffles or just cutting the pipes shorter altogether. Does anyone have any input on this? I already installed cheap air filter pods and need to rejet so any jet sizing info would help me out too. thanks

IMHO...I think they sound like crap, when the factory pipes / cans are all hacked up. Also, with the cheap pods and no real baseline to go by...you will have to tune by trial and error. More money and time, but doable.
Plug chops will be your friend if you proceed.

plug chops?
I installed 115 main jets and now i have a strange issue. The idle climbs as soon as the bike warms up and will not calm down. Is this an issue with sticky floats or needle? Is it possible the diaphram or other parts are damaged? Not to sure, need help.
p.s. still haven't modified exhaust yet. just "sporting for less" pods

Hi Mr. Viperman300,
A climbing idle usually means you are running lean. It could be because your jets are too small. It could mean that there are air leaks in your intake system. Did you replace the intake boots and O-rings? Running lean will fry your motor. You'll find informaion about "plug chops" and carb tuning on my website. Let's get started.
