Actually I WAS going to steal the one out of my 1100's '34s since i've been running the 1150 carbs. But A) the rod wasn't the problem & B) the 1100's rod spacing would have been WAY off. It was indeed the spring loaded actuator thingy. Rose pulled it and I suggested she clean it up with a brass brush and some PB Blaster and now it's all working as it should. Bike is idling nicely, and while I haven't checked the plugs the stank aroma of unburnt fuel is no longer filling the garage while it sits and idles. Throttle response, at least unloaded is much better as compared to before so I think we have winner winner chicken dinner. If the rain gods hold off their barage long enough tomorrow I will take her for a spin, and if she's working as she should, Rose will be getting her first lesson on Monday in ye ole empty church parking lot hooray! Btw thanks to all you guys for your help and suggestions. I've been fiddling with this problem on and off for a month or two now and it really had me stumped. Can't say as I'd ever had a problem with a stock bike running too rich lol.

TCK took Ellie out for a spin and all was good!

I even got to ride it in the driveway about 4 or 5 feet!

Success! You won't get stumped by that one again. I'm look forward to riding with you both.
