    Fuel shut off?

I just recently got my hands on a 1980 GS1100L. Is there a lever for a fuel shut off, that is, a lever from on to reserve etc.? Thanks.

Nope your fuel should shut off when the bike is not running as it is a vacume petcock. However if it is left in the prime position it wont shut off.
    I didnt do it I swear !!

Those 1980 petcocks SUCK. But Rob is right. There is no lever. To prime the system, you stick a little flat head in there and turn it to prime. Then you can either crank the bike till the battery dies, or suck on the vent lines coming from the carbs and you MIGHT get it to prime...heh. Then make sure you switch it back.... I H A T E those petcocks..
