Bike dies out coming to a stop

Ok, I got a GS650. Pulled the carbs and they look really clean. Bike starts right up, idles around 1200RPMs. I've replace the petcock(new) and vacuum and gas hoses and new choke cable. So when I down shift to slow down at a light or stop sigh she dies out. I've read a few post and it sounds like maybe a airbox leak? Air filter is really clean. I've jacked up the throttle a little bit but not sure this is a good thing. Any other suggestions?

Check for air leaks and have you checked the valve clearance?

Pulled the air box out and carbs out. Checked the intake boots and all the o-rings look good and the manifold boots look pretty good. The middle boots going into the airbox are kinda beat so I've order new ones. I'm going to put weatherstripping on the air box cover as the old stuff is pretty much gone. Other than that everything else looks good. Better than I expected.

I'm thinking that the Petcock is not working right when its in the "ON" position. The petcock is brand new but I gotta check the vacuum coming out of Carb 2.
