    My exhaust repair (picture heavy)

Here is a picture of what I started with. A very old Kerker with lots of holes, and muffler putty. Lots of nasty muffler putty.

This is what they looked like when I removed the putty. A coworker told me to just lop off the pipes at the bends and turn it into a rat bike. Naaaah

I didn't like the muffler hanging from from the rear shock. Pretty hoaky, so I decided to shorten the pipe when I replaced it.

Moch up of the muffler on the bike, center stand clears . Although when the project is done the center stand will get ditched.

Once again my 110v self shielding mig was still to much heat for the old pipe. I should have miged it at work with gas, but it is done. I cut pieces from some 1.5" mandrel pipe I had left over from turbo charging my Miata. The sectioned them into the header and gas welded them in. No leaks

Since I don't want to show off my awesome welding skills and make every once jealous I decide to wrap them in header wrap. (my skills are on par with a three year old and a stick welder)

Out of pocket $40 for header wrap, and $8 for new Vesrah gaskets.

That picture was taken in the hardware room of our dealership. The guy who manages the hardware room also races vintage motor cross. So our hardware room has a ton of Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawi nuts and bolts in grade 8 equivilants.
