    snorkel?

Is the snorkel for the air box really a big deal?..I couldn't seem to put the darn thing back on correctly for the life of me...

If you run the airbox it's probably best to keep the snorkel. When my bike was fairly new I screwed around trimmed the snorkel on mine thinking I was going to make the box fill better. It didn't help and removing the snorkel leaned the bike out to the point of popping at about half throttle.

I agree, if you are going to run the stock airbox you need it. These motors will run great but need the correct air/fuel ratio to do so.
