    Its ALIVE !!!

Got my buddy's bike it up and running. 81 GS750E

One of the valves is a little "ticky".

The forks need to be serviced (one of them leaks oil, I don't know how so off to the Suzuki shop).

The air box is being replaced, and my friend got the wrong pods. I know that means that I am going to need to get larger jets. I rebuilt the carbs and used the jets that came with the kits (fully expecting to have to take them out a few times to dial them in). For the test run I went with no air filters at all. I turned the one fuel screw out and in and noticed very little change, if any, in RPM. I was able to get a significant rise in RPM from restricting the air intake of the carbs with my hands.

I am not sure which pilot jets to get for these carbs. They are vacume secondary carbs and all I have ever rebuilt are the manual Mikunis (sorry I do not know the names yet) With one those, stock to pods I would switch out the 15 for a 17.5 pilot jet.

What is the equivalent for these carbs?

    Congrats.

AFA the forks, go to Basscliff's site and read "Fork Seal Replacement". Don't waste your money at the shop, DIY.
