    Repaking exhaust

I have an old Kerker 4 into 1 system on my bike and it was geting truly obnotious. I repaked it with stainless steel pot scubbers as sujested on this site and it is still rather loud thou better than before (a 3 X 5 patch of fiberglass was all that was left of the old packing ) . Would proper fiberglass packing be quieter or is the Kerker just a somwhat loud pipe.

It's all relative. A Kerker is most definitely louder than stock, but shouldn't be offensively loud unless revved past 5000 rpm (at which point most 4X1 systems are loud). If you do want to try the fiber glass material, I got some here.
Do not wrap it super-tight. It did make for a more mellow exhaust note at idle and putting around town, but at high revs there isn't much difference. My pipe isn't offensively loud, and I never rev in that fashion around town, so no worries.
