    Intake leaks, 83 GS1100E

For those at the RRR, such as Josh, Brett, and Dale. I showed Brian my test results that the bike was difficult to keep running when cold, but idled too fast when hot. He pronounced "intake leak". I further examined my setup and realized the clamps were fully tightened down, but I expected them to have a bit more adjustment. I have ordered new hoses and will report on the results. Thanks Josh, Brett, Dale and everyone else. And don't eat the gravy on the biscuits and gravy at Rose's, I have heard not-good results.

    Hi,

Perhaps you should use that gravy to fix the air intake leaks?

    Thank you for your indulgence,

I think it sounds like it's a little too runny.

I thought of that, but was afraid of the bike dying of the old "flour on the intake valve" syndrome.
Once it got going, it was fine, but starting out that morning was a booger.
And again, we (bwringer, mrs. bwringer and I) were sitting at a service station staring at the bike (staring makes it embarrass itself into action) and up pulls a car with Brett, Josh and Dale. Thank goodness for the GSR family.
