anti seize on brass bits?

Every thread on carb rebuilds reminds people to use anti seize on the external bolts of the carb. Is it a good idea to use on the internal jets etc? Is anti seize safe for the o-rings?

Only use it externally - it'll either get washed off with the fuel or end up bunging up a jet.

+1 on external only, no need for usage inside the carburetors.

On all stainless screws to aluminum parts, anti-seize is prefered to inhibit corosion of the galvanic cell that may be created primarily in the presence of water. Aluminum and brass will have a similar galvanic reaction in the presence of water, but in gasoline it should not be a problem.

I've never seen any compatability issues with graphite, silver, or nickle based anti-seize and common elastomer componds. We use it on products for the gas and oil industry everyday.
