Just make sure you get some good quality pods, if you insist on going that direction. The most common ones that are found at a cheap price are probably EMGOs. If I remember correctly, they do not need to be oiled, and are designed as disposable. When they get dirty, you need to buy new ones. Because they are cheaply made, they flow differently and are harder to jet. You are better off spending the money and getting K&Ns. Their performance is more consistant and they are cleanable and will last as long as the bike, if given reasonable care.

They are designed to be thrown in the TRASH... as soon as you open the package..

Dont waste your money on those Emgo filters.. Even with a jet kit, they cause problems on top of problems, they'll never have your bike running right, and you will want to shoot yourself in the face.. Garbage in is garbage out. And EMGO=Garbage...

Here is what I saw in his original post:

Does not appear that he is looking for any improvement. In fact, there were no reasons given for the change, only that he wants to change because he "cant leave well enough alone".

Just a little humor on a Friday afternoon, Steve. I should have made it a little clearer...

        1. He wants to achieve the illusive .5hp per cc number that is floating around the web?

        2. Maybe he is planning on parting out the bike and just needs confirmation that pods will allow him to part it out, knowing that it "won't run correctly", is the next post?

        3. OH...I know... "stock CV carbs too easy, want more of a challenge".
