    Excessively high idle, help?

I've been searching the GStwins forums for about an hour, maybe it's just me, but things make a lot more sense here than they do over there...

1993 GS500E. Full Yosh exhaust, stock airbox with new uni filter. Intake boots still supple, replaced intake o-rings with new OEM. Stock carbs so clean you could eat off of them, all new factory o-rings.

Based on a lot of research, replaced stock 37.5 idle jet with a 40 idle jet. Replaced stock main jet (122.5) with larger (127.5) to compensate for exhaust and uni-filter (may need to go larger, but figured I'd start there). Air mixture screw set to 3 turns out.

Fixed my runs-poorly-on-one-cylinder problem. Hit starter. Wham! Instant start with no choke, idle settled to a nice even 7K rpm. The idle speed screw has no noticeable effect on the idle, all the way in or all the way out.

Suggestions on where to start diagnosing?

    Carb sync?

It's possible that one carb is open so far that you can't bring the speed down.
