    GS1000e Fuel tank sending unit

Pulled the tank on my GS1000E and found a vacuum connected to the fuel tank sending unit plate. Unfortunately the other end of it was not connected to anything. Now that I have cleaned the tank it is time to reassemble everything, but I have no idea where this vacuum line goes. I would really like to try and start this puppy tomorrow but I want to make sure I get all of my vacuum connections right. My Haynes manual is not much help. Any help with the vacuum line mystery would be greatly appreciated.

It's not a vacuum line, it's just a drain. It is there to direct any possible leakage down past the engine.
Just route that hose along the frame rail, back behind the airbox, down past the swingarm pivot.

Try to keep it from pointing at the rear tire, "just in case".
