    Quick bs32ss Bolt/Screw Question.

I just got my bs32ss carbs from an '80 850 apart yesterday and had to drill out about 6 screw from the carb tops. So now I need new hardware.

What size is the hardware for:
    1) Carb tops.
    2) Carb boots.
    3) The two 'rail plates' (bottom and rear). ?

Also the only hardware with washers is on the boots, correct?

I'm probably just going to replace everything with new socket head screws because the regular machine screws stripped really easily.

    Thanks in advance.

    Tops - M5x14
    Fuel bowls - M5x16
    Top rail M5x10
    Bottom rail - M6x14

I did not put any washers on mine.
The tops can also use M5x16, they will just be a bit long.

    And welcome to the forum.

The float bowl screws have split lockwashers.

Got the carbs rebuilt/cleaned up last night, and installed a Dynojet kit today (went with the 165 mains). Previous owner was running stock jets with 4-1 pipes, and a busted airbox (literally cracked). Threw the airbox away away and put pods on, went to start it and the battery was dead. Jumped it from my truck and adjusted the idle screw a bit and stays right at 1k after about 10 seconds of choke. Nice and smooth through the RPM range (used to stutter from 4-6k, the take off afterward).

Thanks for the help with screw sizes. Looks like I'll be back up and riding when this battery charges back up.

          Next Question:

What is the trick to get the needles off of the slides? Needle nose pliers on the two little holes in the clip?
