    79 GS 1000E Running Rich

Thanks to all for a wonderful sight and great advisers. Here is my problem:
    1. When I fill the gas tank and park the bike, gas will slowly drip from the #2 carb and puddle. It seems to stop after a while but not until it has polluted the airspace in my garage.
    2. The second part is that the bike runs and idles great when cooler. When it gets hot, it has a hard time keeping an idle.
    3. I have rebuilt the petcock but discovered something interesting tonight as I removed the tank. I never noticed it before, but as I removed the hoses to the petcock to remove the tank, gas was coming from the out-port of petcock even when the dial was set to "on" ore "res". It didn't have to be on "prime" for the gas to come out of the petcock. Granted, it flowed faster in the "prime" mode.
Do you think I should just order a whole new petcock or maybe a combination of things like a petcock and float adjustment?
Thanks to all for your help.

Your petcock is junk. Unfortunately, Suzuki recently tripled the price on them so good luck with that.

Tripled! Oh no, looks like I'll be stumbling around on ebay to gamble on a used one.

        79 GS 1000 E Petcock question

I just ordered a new petcock from Z1 for a little over $50. The OEM that I priced was in excess of $255.
