    Aftermarket Exhaust 79 GS 1000E

Need advise. I am ready to replace my original "rusty" exhaust on my 79 GS 1000E. I love the dual pipe look and am very pleased with the relatively quite baffles. I priced getting my originals re-chromed but it would cost over $600 plus I would be responsible for removing the baffles and cleaning them. I would like to buy new but I don't want to spend OEM prices to do so. I also would prefer to not have to re-jet my carbs. I am open to suggestions.

Your parameters leave no option but to find a good used stock exhaust

Start searching Ebay, Craigslist, and the For Sale section
    1978 GS 1000 (since new)
1979 GS 1000 (The Fridge, superbike replica project)
    1978 GS 1000 (parts)
    1981 GS 850 (anyone want a project?)
    1981 GPZ 550 (backroad screamer)
    1970 450 Mk IIID (THUMP!)
    2007 DRz 400S

      Hi,

There's a short list of aftermarket exhaust vendors in your "mega-welcome". Do a little shopping. Some have a 4 into 2 configuration that is much like stock. But I don't know if you'll find anything in your budget.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

Thanks mate. Since I am stateside, I am a little unsure as to how to order using US dollars.
