You can rebuild them Ed. Nobody sells the O ring as part of a rebuild kit but it's a common size. The tricky bit is the little oval rubber on the end of the bit that you turn with a screwdriver - these rubbers go hard, get dented and don't seal. Again nobody sell these and you have to make your own; this is very fiddly as it's a tiny piece - refusing to be beaten I've managed it but only on the 20th attempt (you might do better if you've got very good eyes and a very steady pair of hands).

It is much easier and quicker to just buy a new one though.

The show stopper with regard to rebuilding these petcocks is the check valve which is sealed under a pressed in cap. No way to get a new check valve, and even if you could, you would have to take off the cap and then reinstall a new one.
