    Engine Stumble at 2300 rpm

So, I'm just throwing this out to see if anyone can possible point me in the right direction. 82 GS1100GL 8 valve. Bike always runs very strong but I noticed mostly this year, when you're rolling up the throttle, at about 2300-2500, you get a bit of a stumble, otherwise, it runs great. I also notice that if you run the bike up to that particular rpm range in neutral, you get an intermittent popping out of the right bank.
Also now I here a more noticeable popping out of the same side on hard de-acceleration.
But all in all, hard on the throttle and up at cruising speed, it acts just fine.
Changed out the left side plugs with the same results.
Getting close to bed time for the bike, so I thought that I'd look into this more closely over the winter. Thanks in advance. Al

Sme kind of lean condition, probably a combination of air leaks and pilot jets, combined with airbox...

Check for airleaks at the boots, clean the filter, and check for clogged idle jets.
      Synch carbs.
