    Complete 4into1 for an 850g?

So I've been searching the posts for a while and have not found any guidance yet on getting a complete 4into1 system for the ratzuki I just picked up. It has a Kerker 4-1 that I found to be very beaten on the underside. I would like to go 4-1 with a reverse megaphone type silencer. I'm not a performance freak on this one and am more concerned with sound quality and appearance. I'd also like to steer clear of something requiring a bunch of re-tuning... been there on the 82 Katana and don't care to re-visit that pain.

Believe it or not it starts and runs great and already has a new tank and bars waiting.

It's very likely already been rejetted for the Kerker, so you could probably bolt on any 4/1 and it would be fine. What size jets are in the carbs?

Buying a brand new exhaust seems counter to the ratbike aesthetic here -- you might want to post in the "parts wanted" section. If the Kerker muffler is still usable, you'll probably have an easier time finding just the header section. There should be quite a few models where the headers would interchange easily, but I don't have a list.

Also, you'll want to make it clear that you have a '79 GS850G and not a later model -- might want to add that info to your sig and mention it when you post, or most people will assume you have a later model with CV carbs. If you do have to rejet, the VM carbs you have are somewhat easier to deal with than the later CV carbs.

Thanks for the tip ringer - I did the signature thing - good idea. I'm generally happy with the sound of the Kerker so welding on a better (less indented) set of headers sounds good.
