    Exhaust length? formula?

    Yah doods i'm back.

So i'm attempting, with my boilermaker buddy, to make my own exhaust adding on to where i f'd up and chopped em off behind the manifold.
(yah yah you told me so)

My question is, is there any type of formula to figure out the best length of the 'cans' or overall system to get optimal airflow speed and avoid the 'bubbly' problems i've been reading about? (can't remember the tech terms but had something to do with pockets of air having a back flow across the exhaust ports and hence affecting the speed of air)

It's been freakin beautiful here in CO and i NEED to get this thing proper to ride ASAP!!

As always, thanks in advance for your input, yo.
    heheheh

Too many variables to give a simple formula to. Pipe sizing, back pressure (or lack of it), length of pipe, pods vs. air box, ect.
It is really a trial and error type of setup and you'll be doing plenty of plug chops and jet changes unless you have access to a color tune and a dyno...
