    Motion Pro makes / sells permanent brass adapters that you just screw in to replace the allen head screw. Has a rubber cap you pull off when you want to sync and replace after your done. Works great

          and how does it work ?
          you remove the rubber cap and then have to screw in the vacuum adapters that are included in the morgan carb tune ? or can you connect the morgan carbtune rubbers directly to these brass adapters ?

              I mean: I contacted Z1 in the mean time, they do sell these, I ordered 4 of them...problem solved ! no more burnt fingers and lost screws for...something like 16 $ in total...

                thats that i use.... sooo much easier and seals against the inlets nicer to imho

                  I didn't realize the Z-1 adapters were meant to be left on permanently. Will that little rubber o-ring stand up to the heat?

                    I have a 4mm ball-end hex driver from Bondhus that has a locking device in the tip.


                    Here's the set I have:
                    Shop high quality RC cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, helicopters and much more at discount prices! Visit our family-owned & operated online RC store.


                    Snap the screw onto the end of the driver and it stays in place, making it easy to insert these screws without dropping them. The ball end allows you to drive the screw at an angle -- it's nearly impossible with a straight driver.

                    Once in a while, you find that the perfect tool exists...



                    If you don't have one of these, put a rag on top of the engine first so it's easy to retrieve the screw when you drop it.

                      Magnatizing drivers doesn't work on brass allens or washers.
                      1980 Suzuki GS550E, 1981 Suzuki GS 1100EX all stock, 1983 Suzuki GS 1100EX modified, 1985 GS1150E, 1998 Honda Valkyrie Tourer, 1971 Kawasaki Mach lll 500 H1, 1973 Kawasaki Mach lV 750 H2.

                        I think Mr. bwringer has the best advice, buy more tools!

                        The Wiha people make some good tools. Here's their ball end hex stuff:



                        You get up to 30 degrees of range using their ball ends. That ought to work for those pesky vacuum port bolts.

                          Lol, you talkin about a 350?

                          I did the spark plugs on my z28(LT1), and I was literally ALL over the place trying to find the right angle to attack each plug(to which I could NOT see, and barely feel....plus the threading is at a tilt). Then I had to find the right combo of swivel pieces and extensions.....

                          It's SO deceptive....you THINK you got the right angle.....ERRRTTT TRY AGAIN!
                          Under car, over car, under car, lay down ontop of engine, spin around 45 degrees, wipe off blood from hands/arms.........repeat!


                          But yeah, headers are pretty much the same thing, except you have to squeeze them in at the right angle.
