    Hi,

If you only need to buy a few small parts, get them from your local dealer. You'll pay more for the parts but no shipping so you'll probably come out ahead.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

        Thanks for the info all....

        got one more quick question:

when putting the carbs back together, I can't seem to make the diaphragm to stay in place while I place the top cover on. Is there a trick that goes along with this? Tried searching the forums for similar problems but to no avail....

Nessism - that looks pretty sweet.

I can throw some gaskets in with the float pin if you'd like.

A little bit of light grease or vaseline in the groove holds the diaphram in there while you bolt the top down.

                Home-made... fast, easy, cheap....

Well, here is the final product of the home-made carb bowl gaskets... add stainless steel bolts with a hex head and it should seal the deal.... (pun intended)

                  Hey! Looks good!

Remember that the float height is measured without the gasket.

First one measured it at 21 mm. Little less than recommended 21.4-23.4 but afraid to screw it up trying to adjust it. And yes, that's without the gasket.

                      Hi,

Just gently bend the tabs a little at a time. It's easy. These run better when they are set right in the middle of the range.
