    Part numbers for carb boots?

    Hey everyone.

    Got a 1982 Suzuki GS450E I'm looking to either sell or finish fixing up. All I need to finish it are the carb boots. I'd like to get all of them (two to head, two to airbox) along with any other parts needed.

    Anyone care to share expertise on what I need to make this happen?

    I looked at Suzuki for you and your part numbers are,
    09280-40010 oring to seal at head $2.63 ea x2
    13110-44001 intake boot at head $32.82 ea x2
    13881-44100 boot at air cleaner $11.14 ea x1
    13882-44100 boot at air cleaner $11.14 ea x1
    All of these are in stock at Suzuki, you should be able to order through local dealer or maybe through Z1 Enterprises. If you dont have any luck there give me a PM and Ill be glad to help.

      Hi,

      First of all, for your own convenience, practice using an online parts fiche to find your part numbers. For example, go here....



      Click on the year and model of your bike, then choose the area of the bike (electrical, clutch, carburetor, etc), then use the diagrams to find your part numbers.

      Then, click the link below that takes you to my little website and start reading.

      Don't forget your "mega-welcome". You'll find a list of our favorite OEM and aftermarket vendors from whence to order all the parts you need.

        I beleive I welcomed myself a while ago along with this bike


        As for the parts fiche, I'm familiar with looking at them. I remember there being some particular gaskets that had to be ordered, and I felt that the fiche was rather inadequate for determining what I needed. I wanted to post here to be certain. Thank you for your expertise JamminJimmy!

          Jnicola, you'll find the parts fiches are pretty accurate for the most part and those areas that are wrong will look fishy (no pun intended) from the get go. THey are the same exact ones the parts counter guys are using and if you actually hit some of the bigger ones you shouldn't have a problem. I would caution you to stay with the folks at partshark, alpha-sports, babbittsonline, or your local bike shop though since there are one or two that try using their own numbering scheme.

          In fact, hit this guy in your area: http://www.beavertonmotorcycles.com/fiche_select.asp from Beaverton Motorcycles to start. I will typically hit my local shop's site for part numbers and then go to Z1 to cross-reference and check for cheaper prices.

            I think that once you do a price comparison, you'll find that Beaverton Motorcycle is just about the same cost (when you include shipping from a mail order site)

            Just order off their site and check the box for "pick up". No shipping charge and no wait for shipping from dealer to you

            If I remember correctly from PNWR, you're right next door to BM.
