34 mm carbs fitted instead of 32mm

I have now totally stripped the carbs on my GS850 1982, ready for dipping and the instalation of my O ring kit.

Having just measured the carbs I discover that the are 34mm instead of the 32mm ones that should be fitted.

Can any one help with main jet size, I am running with a 4 into 1 header pipe and custom exhaust from the footpegs back.

The air box is standard with new filter in place of the pair of ladys stockings that were in there!

    Thanks as always.

    Bozza,

What jet sizes are in there now?

Do your carbs have an adjustable needle?

Are you adding the 4-1 , or was it perhaps already jetted for it?

Can't see any numbers on the jets ? cheap copies.

Carbs do not have adjustable needle "standard?"

The 4 into 1 was already on it.

The PO had pods on the bike but could not get it to run, so he sold it to the guy I bought if from. He put the airbox back on so that she ran but poorly, then I bought it. Hence the new air filter, in place of the stockings and the carb strip.

      Cheers

Look closer at the jets - they should have a number on them and a box in box symbol if they're mikuni's

Per Chef - 117.5 Mikuni jets for stock airbox/header

You may need to go with a DJ kit to get a thinner needle
