If anything, I've got two more float bowls already on their way, so I'll check to see how those fit.

That'd be great because I'm a bit stumped thinking what could possibly be stopping them from going on smoothly.
There's only two things I can think of...
- The needle jet is not sitting correctly in the carb body, meaning it's butting against the main jet.
- The main jet is the wrong type or something like that so it's butting against the needle jet.
This is the only pic I have of my jets (and pilot air/mixture screw), and it's not the best I'm sorry:

Got the two new bowls in the mail today that I ordered off ebay. Put them on, and they slid all the way down, no problems.
