    What's been done here?

    I posted a question in the Tips and Tricks yesterday about the air screw on my first carb disassembly being difficult. I had noticed but not thought much of a difference in the #2/3 air screw housings. #1/4 are intact, but 2/3 have been cut into. Any ideas why this was done? Is this a problem?

    a rare outsider and was only built until 1983. Who still has one, it gives her so little.

    dropped and snapped off by a previous owner or mechanic???

    I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

      tower broken

      It appears that someone probably while trying to take out the plug cover got a little aggressive. Sometimes that happens. Not a problem if threads under it are not damaged. Threads damaged, a problem. Bob

        that makes perfect sense Brian..i didnt think about the FORBIDDEN..dont remove this plug! Screwdriver prying..good call.
