1982 gs650 gt carb question
i got a 1982 gs 650 gt that had been sitting outside awhile.i got it all cleaned up changed oil ,put new plugs.cleaned carbs and tank .when i tried to start it it started rite up .i got it to idle and it runs fine.the only problem is if you open it up once it hits about 4000 rpm it runs rough like its not getting enough fuel.you can ride it around and it runs great till you really try and open it up some then around 4000 rpm it runs rough and bogs down but it keeps running and dont die or any thing.could this be a carb adjustment problem or do they need to be rebuilt with a kit?the bike has 49500 miles on it and has a 155 psi per cylinder.if anyone has any ideals i like to know.thank youTags: None

Greetings and Salutations!!
Hi Mr. mac guy 66,
A happy GS starts with properly cleaned carbs. You'll find the procedure in the links below. Get an O-ring kit from http://cycleorings.com, a can of Berryman's carb dip, and you're good to go. The carbs must be completely disassembled and dipped for 24 hours each. Then reassembled with the new O-ring kit. Details below.
Let me dump a TON if information on you and share some GS lovin'.
