    Replacement carb bolts

Is there a place i can get new top screws etc for my carb without getting rebuild kits. I just need all the screws as most of mine are stripped.

    #2
If you are looking for the screws that hold the diaphragm caps on, the rebuild kits don't contain them.

Check with Z1 Enterprises. I know they have stainless Allen-head bolts for the engine covers, not sure if they also have carb kits.

    You can also check eBay.

Not sure about the length, but a few of them might need to be a couple of mm longer, due to the cable holders on #2 and #3.

I picked mine up from Ace Hardware. Those, the ones for my bowls, and the ones I needed for both mounting rails came to just under $40 or so.

x2 on Ace for metric bolts. That's where I got my carb cap and intake tube replacements. Just take an old one in and match it up.

$40 ? I'd go for the titanium ones at that price. Anyways, in my stumbling in ebay a while back I found an outfit in WV that has kits for different carbs and they seem to know the difference between VM and CV. Go on ebay, and go to item# 370495806560- hopefully still listed at $10 plus shipping. This kit is for top and bottom of carbs, but they have others.

Check that you need 4 x 12 socket cap heads for your carbs.

I have just replaced mine and they were 5mm x 12mm for the tops and 5mm x 16mm for the float bowls (to compensate for spring washers) Also use the 16 mm for the brackets.

                Regards.

                  Got mine at Lowes.

I replaced all of the bolts except for the Rail-bolts.
                  It costed me under $20 I think.......all stainless Flathead and 7mm socket-head.

And a bag of washers too!

If you have a choke cable hoder on the top you need 2 16mm as well.Though they where 5mm.Lower rail on my 85 750 was 6mm x 16mm IIRC

I just bought a set from Z1 Enterprises.

It was easier (and cheaper) for me to order them from Z1 and deliver from USA to Australia than to get them locally. Go figure.

I doubt Australia will have any local retail left soon if we can't work out how to provide decent online catalogues and ordering.
