Very clear pictures of clean CV carbs

Here are some very clear pictures of a set of CV carbs which may be of help together with the carb clean series pictures.

A fine specimen indeed! Tell me. What did you dip them in and did you polish everything, or did they come out that way? I'm currently cleaning my own VM carbs. Dipping them in some Carb and Parts dip that I found at Advanced Auto as I could not find Berrymans anywhere.

      Very nice pictures, indeed.

I especially like the idea of using the rubber pilot fuel jet plugs to seal off the idle mixture adjustment screw.

Sorry, these are not my carbs. I came accross these pictures on a Yamah* site.
I thought others might be interested so I put up the link.

PS Maybe this is what Chuck Hahn was expecting for his $100??????????

Nice pics. It just makes me sad to see the nice overflow/drain combo that Mikuni cheaped-out on.

Great looking pictures but I don't understand what the clip around the needle is for. I can see it hooks onto the floats but what's the point of it?

Chris..yup thats what i was expecting because thats what i had expressed and was under the understanding that this is what i was gonna get.. And the agrred upon price was 100.00 perset. And that exactly why i am so furious with him.

Chuck, I don't think anybody in their right mind would only charge $100 to clean a set of carbs and make them look like that.

maybe he needs to rethink his price structure then.. i paid what he said and thats the way it was supposed to be done..just the plain simple truth.

Please refrain from dragging issues with other members into other peoples threads. It's simply rude. I understand you're upset. But it's discourteous to other members to hijack their threads with your (and I am using a generalization) conflict.

                            Thank you.
