    Fuel and vacuum hoses

    Hello all,
Just another dumb question. I`ve checked the fiche at Part Shark. (I`m financially handicapped) and read BassCliff`s notes re: Mr Bowringer and here is my dilema. The fiche is not really clear and I can`t seem to locate the part no`s. And Mr. B`s notes have me a little confused. I want to replace the fuel hose and vacuum hose on my `81 1000g. I`ll probably go the harsware store route `cause it`s cheaper but want to make sure I get the right sizes. can anyone help?

    Hi,

The notes on my website are 850G-specific but the 1000G should be the same.

What parts fiche are you using? Some are more accurate than others. When there's a question I will start by comparing, say, the fiches at partshark.com and alpha-sports.com.

Look on the "Fuel Cock" page to find the fuel hose part number: 09352-70103-00B (replaces 09343-07026).

(NOTE: The above part was called "Hose, Water Drain" in one of the fiches and a "Hose, Fuel" in another.)

Look on the "Carburetor" page to find the vacuum hose: 09355-45855-600 (replaces 13683-45110).

Some fiches will give you diameters and lengths, others don't.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

Again I bow to the GS gods. Firstly the words hose, water drain scared me and just Hose scared me as much. Just wanted to make sure if I go that route i order the right parts. I`ll still probably end up going the Hardware Auto parts route as I`m really strugglin` for bucks right now and I really want ta` ride. Were the hose sizes Mr Bowringer stated for an 850 or 1000?

Yes, the 1000 will be the same as the 850.
