Might I suggest taking a small solid steel rod wrapped in some cloth and wacking a dent where your foot peg goes? (1/2" diameter)
Just like the factory dent for the brake lever on the G models.
And see if you can shorten that rear spacer any at all.
Even a 1/4" will make a difference if you ride "spirited." (Up and IN)

You'll get annoyed right quick. I'm running a street version. About a year and a half ago the baffle dropped out. Never did find it. The replacement from V&H was only around $22.00 if I remember correctly. I could only stand to ride it for another day and then waited for the baffle. I drilled and wired the bolt on the new baffle.http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ine=1440711157'78 GS1000E, Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green Coils, K&N pods, Delkevic SS 4-1 exhaust, Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit, Russell SS Brake Lines, Progressive suspension, Compu-Fire series Regulator 55402 and Advmonster cree LED headlight conversion.
