    Question on BS34 main jets for 1100 Katana

    I ordered a set of 117.5 main jets from Parts Shark for my 83 GS1100S Katana with the original BS34 carbs on it. They sent K&N Mikuni jets #102.221 which are a smaller diameter then the ones that were in the carbs. They screw in fine but Im wondering if they will work Ok ? Could someone tell me if I need to reorder the larger diameter ones or if these will work OK ? I thought I was ordering the larger ones to start with but this is what they sent. The order was placed back in November so I doubt calling them would help. Thanks for your help.

    Just order the correct jets from Z1 enterprises and have them in less than a week.

        I'm guessing these were the ones ordered because they have them listed for the BS carbs.
        From what I understand Mikuni sizes these jets by flow - It certainly couldn't hurt to try them.
        I just went through the same thing with partshark earlier this week - it was a little confusing, but ultimately I ordered the KN100-604 jets (I think).

          I ordered what they showed for the carbs as best I can remember. That was 6 months ago, Im 67 and dont know what I ate for breakfast. I dont know if they are wrong, thats what Im asking. They fit in there OK.

            I just reordered the right ones, its too much work pulling the carbs off with the airbox to change the jets. I swear I ordered the right ones but at this point it doesnt matter. Whats another few bucks for this bottomless pit !

              Agreed. I try to keep the number of times I take the carbs off to a minimum. That works out to only 4 times so far this year. It's a good thing the pit is bottomless - You'd hate to find out what's down there.

                If they say 117.5 on the jet they are Mikuni size just made by K&N.
                Sorry to chime in too late but I would of ran them.

                  About $17.99 too late but thanks anyway Chef. Nothing like paying $6.80 to UPS to deliver 4 jets {cheapest option too}
