    I just ordered the petcock parts i needed from bike bandit figured id try rebuilding it before replacing it .

      If you want to roll the dice and see if a repair kit works, that's your choice, but I'd recommend this to a more experienced wrencher A newbie will be less likely to know if there's a problem, like gas leaking down from the carbs into the engine oil. I bought a new one, but kept the old one to size tubing when I'm at the auto parts store, etc. A spare petcock is an asset, even if it isn't on your bike.

        Spend a little extra and buy a new one, bolt it on and ride.
