Yeah, we are all going to just change our opinions of their well earned reputations because YOU say so.

But you're right. I think *somebody* probably IS making stuff up to cover his a$$.

And thanks, I learned something tonight. Motorcycles will run without the jets installed in the correct locations and way.

You need to get a NEW bike, not an OLD GS that requires hands on. And you need to take it to a shop where you can pay shop rates to someone who is paid to listen to your...claims.

Man, you even have JeepRusty worked up, and he *loves* to stir up a good argument You must be one special fellow.

Wow. I thought you were a machinest and a mechanic and a computer guy but you only have a cheap set of tools? Heck, I'm only a computer guy and backyard mechanic and I can honestly say I have about a thousand dollars in just tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, ratchets/sockets, etc) to work on the bike.

This whole thing comes back to what are you doing to get it out? To me, you are just whining about it. No pictures or discussion of what you already tried. You cannot tell me you have gone the last 24 hours without making that thing budge when it is clearly above the carb body where you can grab onto it and twist out. Take the carbs apart, put that body in a woodworking vise with rubber or something to protect it, and take it out.

      Be done with it already.

I can't believe you're 36 years old and acting this way.

I also can't believe you're some kind of machinist who doesn't "have any tools except for a cheep tool set i was given for my Birthday".

And they knew it too, so they decided to f*** up your bike, eat your food, and giggle to themselves all the way home about how they pulled a fast one on you.

Grow up. You make a larger and larger ass of yourself with every post you type.

          You know what? Nevermind.
Look, I don't know the other guys, but I know Ray personally. And I consider him a good friend. You could have come over to my house, I have a small machine shop in the garage, & I would have been happy to machine that screw out for nothing.
          But now....not a chance.

But really NOS no one here can condone your actions. it is not borne of disagreement or petty politics. It is a deep moral conflict that is spurring you on. You have made an assertion that is greivous and have since made a number of incongrous and contradictory revelations which show you to be wrong.

It is very sad that what you are doing causes so much harm in the real world. You are bearing flase witness. At best mis-leading witness.

Step in form the cold dude. So many jackasses here would love to pile on you and cause more hurt. Let it go. Appraise the situation and ask yourself with all honesty. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS IS TRUE? A fine old prof used to tear our essays apart and the one thing he would do after stripping the flesh off us was to ask of our thesis. "Do YOU BELIEVE THIS IS TRUE?" The answer was invariably a sheepish "no, well not really."

Would you condemn yourself or anyone to death over your certainty in this matter?

Dude for all the talk you do "degree" "machinist" blah, blah, blah then you cry over a broken bolt.......I just built a completely hybrid/custom GS/Katana/GSXR turbo charged 7/11 with the help of two forums, a high school diploma from a public school, and 17 years experience in the construction industry.
You should be ashamed to even still be posting on this forum. After hearing all your belly aching it makes me what to punch myself in the balls.

As you already said, the bike ran the best it ever had after everyone left. A broken bolt in the rear rack mount rail would have absolutely nothing to do with how it ran.
It appears to me the bike was fine and running normally when everyone left.
I think you "worked" on it again after that. Those that helped you have "earned" a good reputation and it is inconceivable they would make the effort to work on your bike for free on a holiday to boot, and in any way, do shoddy work and cause your problems. The things you say do not add up.

After your response, I am certain I wouldn't consider doing anything for you. Not even if you offered to pay me 100 hot dogs. LOL

After reading all the posts in this thread, and in the other thread about the wrenching party, your posting of this makes a lot more sense now:

                          Emotionally-crippled, sociopathic barbarians do.

NOS quit getting baited. it is clear now that a certain group wants to goad you into making a response and get you banned.

So stop this. You and the guys that helped you are worth more than all this.

I am sure being around such a large group of well established "bikers" one of them could have easily help you with your catastrophic situation......or maybe they would have just slapped you. Moron!!
