Want to know something? I have a bolt on my carb body that's SS and it snapped below the body, guess what?! I rode with it like that til my bike died because ITS ONE ****ING BOLT. How are you ****ed except in the head?

Cheap tools? So you use cheap tools on the car of "yours", that is if you do or did any of the work.

Seriously, what's done is done. Get over it and move on. I bet you've spent more time on here than on the bolt easily.

Just do us all a favor

SHUT THE **** UP. Bitch bitch bitch is all you've been doing.

Go cry in a dark cold room if you're gonna keep talking about Bill or Ray or anyone else who lifted a wrench on your bike.

Wow! I get off work & come home to see what the TOOL has had to say & he has deleted all his posts!!! What did I miss? What's the crap about the jets being in the wrong places? The bike ran pretty GOOD for that to have been the case! The ONLY issue I found with the TOOL'S carbs was that one of the mixture screws was tight. I got it loosened up but didn't want to remove it in fear of it dicking up the threads. So, I adjusted it the same as the others & put everything together. Once the carbs were on the bike & we fired it up, I adjusted the mixture screws the same as I always do to the fastest idle method & all was fine. The bike ran FINE!!! The TOOL even said it ran GREAT!!! I want to know what I've been accused of by this TOOL!!! Man up TOOL & post what you have to say about me because I did NOTHING to hurt your bike or ANY part of it! I live EXACTLY 2.9 miles from your house & I know this number for a FACT because I went home 3 times to get more tools & parts to fix YOUR bike! Ray.

            Ray,
This is so out there that it does not compute. Don't let this guy upset you he is so clearly not worth it.

It looks like NOS has been pulled from the ranks. The thread should die.

wow this thread reminds me of why sometimes people post way more complicated repairs than what might work for fear the OP has issues so they post the harder but most likely to succeed method first.

I think we need to draft a waiver for members to print out and have people sign before giving them a hand that says its your damn bike and if you cant fix it yourself and want me to help for free you are liable for crap breaking along the way. This is exactly why shops wont work on old bikes its to unpredictable and unknown what might happen as you go, old bolts break deal with it...

I believe he said the bike was running poorly and when he took the bowls off, all the jets had fallen out. No, I am not kidding.

Don't worry about it Ray. We know you're a good wrench and you have a great reputation here. There isn't anything this guy can say that anyone is going to believe.

I'm just glad it ended before Pos set it on fire with his dummy load stator test.....

You will have to talk to Balzdorf about that; that is is expertise.

All not just some? I had a jet fall out once cause I was scared of stripping a hole. Erred ont he side of caution and pushed a bike into a truck.

But all of them seems a tad silly.

It'll still run on the pilot circuit even if the mains have fallen out. Could this have been Ray being concerned about rider safety - restricting riding to 1/8th throttle opening? Once again the kindheartedness of the GSR threatens to overwhelm.

Or maybe that 850 was a potential threat on the strip........

Oddes thing is that NOS was crazy all through a 24 hour period or more.
The guys will never know how close they came to being in a deep-freeze.

Guy was clearly off his rocker. Sad really.
