is number 77 in this diagram supposed to be capped? mine is spurting fuel haha. and it looks to be capped in some applications.

That is where the fuel line coming off of your petcock should go.

Forget driveability!
I drained the temp gas tank I had in no time as fuel was pouring out of carbs 1 and 2 cuz I had plugged the vent tube (thinking it was the vacuum port) and it apparently caused the float bowl to pressurize and hold the needle open! Ugh. I put them on the bike that way and couldn't for the life of me figure out why couldn't get the bike to come down from 4K. Not to mention all the fuel that poured out of the stock airbox when I stood the bike upright from the sidestand.

Might want to change your oil. There's a good chance some fuel may have made it's way into the crankcase.
