Material from holes in carb after cleaning
So I've been cleaning up my carbs with chem-dip and I've noticed some odd material coming free from some of the holes where the brass lines are (see photobucket links). The material looks to be like little silicone plugs (sorry, no pictures of the junk) and I'm wondering if I need to be concerned. Are those holes normally sealed or might this be debris that has accumulated over time?

I looked at the photos and don't see anything wrong.

BigD, I dipped a set of carbs recently that were from a friends Yamaha and I saw little balls that were like silicone when I took them out. I noticed when I took the carbs apart that someone had tried to seal the float bowl with a gasket and silicone. I didn't bother picking it clean when before dipping. Perhaps this is what you experienced as well?
