Float Height Clarification- 83 GS650G

I've had a look at BassCliff's guide but I need further verification on measuring float height on my particular carbs. Nothing special,but I'm just a little unsure as to the correct place to measure or whether these are classified as the "stepped" type. The particulars...'83 GS650G with BS32 carbs (stock)

Here is a little photoshopped outline of a picture of the side of the float. Do I measure from the bottom of the BLUE line, or the bottom of the RED line?

Measure at the red line for sure. I accidentally did it from the blue line the first time and it would barely run.

22.4mm from the bowl gasket surface, subtract 1mm if the gasket is on when you measure.

measure both sides, the floats can be twisted a bit sometimes...

And make sure you measure from the tip of your caliper and not the notch.

Thank you, everyone. I think a PO may have measured form the BLUE line, as the current measurements from the RED line vary from 18.6 to 19.5mm
