      Welcome aboard the good ship Lollypop! Our little nuthouse always welcomes a new nut! My 850 has been a great bike, but now I've graduated to the 1100s as well.
      I sure hope you live where it doesn't rain or get nasty out with no front fender on your bike. You may want to add a fork brace for better stability on those forks, the fender provides stiffness that isn't there when it's gone.

        I never thought about the stiffness. I have the front fender and the missing side panel. Only one bolt was holding the front fender on because the other 3 had rusted out. Once I find the right size tap I will be putting it back on. As far as the side panel goes, I have to glue one of the tabs back on because it broke and flops in the wind, once my plastic adhesive cures it will be going on also. Happy riding
