elivation jetting question
so come to find out the po did not touch the carbs on my gs1100ez i live in salt lake and the elevation i ride in ranges from 4200 feet to 9000 feet. on the stage three dynojet it has a 132 and a 138 main jet do you think i should start there or start with a different size. gs1100ez pods and 4 to 1 free flowing exhaust. thanks for the inputLast edited by Guest; 06-16-2011, 10:21 AM.Tags: None

There's not much difference in jetting with altitude until you get up to about 10,000'
You'll just have to jet and see what your plugs tell you
Remember, you want smaller jets and less fuel with altitude1978 GS 1000 (since new)

You have CV carbs, they are elevation compensating. Sea level jetting works fine up to 14,000 ft., I go there all the time. Earlier carbs suck above about 4,000 ft or so... Unless the jetting is changed. That's why I stick with CV carbs. If you have switched to pods the compensation may not work so well.Last edited by tkent02; 06-16-2011, 12:37 PM.
