GS1150 carb connections???

Qucik question for the group.

I replaced my 1100E carbs with a set I was able to get off an 1150.
I noticed that there a few differences and thought I'd ask some questions here.

The 1150 carbs still have the gas and vacuum connections from the tank into the carbs but it looks like the air hoses that lead out of the carbs and dangled around the battery are no longer needed. Is that accurate?

Additionally, I've replaced the airbox with a set of pods. There is a hose that leads from a large rectangle above the engine which used to connect directly into the front of the airbox. What do I do with that now? Does it just dangle there?

You don't necessarily need the vent tubes that lead from the "T's" between 1-2 and 3-4 carbs. Just point the T's down so dirt and crap don't get in there.

The crank case breather hose is typically terminated with a filter:
