    Vacume line for fuel valve

I am rebuilding a 1977 GS750 that I purchased from a Sheriff's sale for $100. The fuel valve/petcock requires a vacume line. There was none when I got the bike. Where does the fuel valve get the vacume? The three lines coming from the carbs I believe to be breathers and not vacume. Am I wrong? There was no air box and I have gone to individuel filters. Could the vacume have come from the air box? I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

There should be a total of EIGHT rubber lines on your carbs.

For the moment, we will ignore the four overflow tubes connected to the bottoms of the carbs.

There will be a fuel line that goes to a "T" in the middle.

There will be two vent lines that are connected to carbs 2 and 4. (they are numbered from left to right. #1 is under your clutch hand, #4 is under your throttle hand)

The one that looks like a vent line and is connected to #3 is your vacuum source for the petcock.

The fuel line on the petcock is 5/16" inside diameter. The vacuum line is 1/4" inside diameter. the 1/4" vacuum line on the petcock connects to the #3 carb as said. The connection nipple is on the left, forward side of #3 carb.
