well my petcock finally gave out, in your guys' opinon should i install new aftermarket or do a rebuild kit?Tags: None

Depends on what kind of bike and the cost of an OE petcock. Some of the early GS bikes have really expensive petcocks, so if I had one of those I'd rebuild.Ed

I put a rebuild kit in my '79 gs850 it works terrible it wont seal its always still a slow leak when turned away from prime. Get an OE petcock if you can afford it.

Thank again guys, and yes i have an older gs. i'll have to put it in my sig. But it sounds like i should just shell out the money for a new OE.

i got one on ebay for 43.99 total. havent seen it yet but ad said it was a suzuki part and new. saw another on there from the same co. but it now price was 44 or something like that.
