1978 GS 1000 E, 1979 GS 1000 S, 1973 Yamaha TX 750, 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650B1, 1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing, 1983 CB 650SC Nighthawk, 1972 Honda CB 350K4, 74 Honda CB550

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Any OEM parts seller can get them to you. Not sure about other models but the 550 CV boot clamps have narrower bands than you'll find on most store shelves.

Just picked mine up from the dealer - hose clamps would have worked, but these are so shiny and OEM'y...haha.

I just switched over to some clamps from Lowe's because the stock ones were maxing out before sealing.

The carb boots have a narrow recessed area where the factory clamps fit down into. If you use generic worm screw band clamps they bridge over the recess and crush down on a large surface area of the boot and just smash everything together. It's better for the boots, and the long terms seal, to use a narrow band clamp like the original parts.Ed

Hi,
Partshark.com and Z1Enterprises.com take care of most of my parts needs. The clamps should be easy to find. They are on the same page as the boots themselves, which is usually the "cylinder head" page of the fiche. But on some bikes it could be the carb page or even the air cleaner page.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
