K&L Carb rebuild kit

I purchased carb rebuild sets from Z1, and they've got a piece in here that has me stumped. It's sort of a gasket-y material, and in the same size as the washer/spacer under the main jet.



Stock one is on the left, new one on the right. What does everyone think?

It goes under the float bowl gasket over the aluminum plug that's pressed into the body. Not all carbs use them.

Oh, and the stock Suzuki/Mikuni brass jets are superior to those K&L pieces. It's best to reuse the stock brass unless they are damaged.

Yeah, keeping the stock jets all ready.

Please post a photo of the carb body gasket surface and then I'll tell you if your model carbs need those donut seals.

Well, seeing as there is no aluminum plug, the donut seals are just airplane parts then. Thanks.
