    Inlet Seat question

Hey all, I'm rebuilding carbs from an '80 850G and I wasn't sure what to do with the inlet seat, I think it's called... little brass piece with a plastic and mesh basket on the end? I didn't think I could dip it because of the plastic, but wanted to make sure.

    Thanks!

I don't dip those although you could after carefully prying off the plastic screen piece. Use care to avoid breaking it. The seat itself is brass so dip won't hurt it. I usually take a piece of fine scotchbrite, twist it into a pointy shape and use it to scour the inside of the seat.
