    Carb "sneeze"

    My girlfriend's words.

    "When I was sitting at a stop, every 10 seconds or so, a carb would sneeze. Why is it doing that?"

    I was meaning to get on here and ask, but her description of it makes it 100x better.

    Anyhow, at idle, one of the carbs every now and again seems to "puff" like a misfire. It's never the same one back to back, nor does it happen all of the time. Is that a "live with it sonny" sort of thing? Or do I have an issue that needs to be resolved?

    At this point: carbs are NOT synced, haven't monkeyed with the ignition timing at all.

    Spitting through the carburetor is too lean. Could be a vacuum leak if it's just one carb and everything else is ok.

        Sounds lean at starting but would expect it would improve at least some after the bike is good and warm. Mine will spit a few times if it is good and cold but never does after it is warm. Maybe try getting the idle mixture a little richer.
