Throttle attachment at carb ('82 GS1100GK)
I removed the carbs today in preparation for having them rebuilt. Noticed that the P.O. had evidently never bothered to snug down the throttle cable nuts.
See picture ~ this isn't correct, is it? Shouldn't this be snugged down?Tags: None

You are correct, that should be tightened. Adjust both set nuts so you have a little cable slack (free play) when the carbs are setting on the throttle slop. Turn the handlebars to full lock and make sure the free play doesn't all go away.Ed
