    Idle air screws stuck

I have a 1980 gs850, and the idle air screws will not come out, a previous owner has stripped out the flat head on the to the point that no driver I own will engage with it, I am a full time automotive technician, I have a large selection of tools to try, and/or modify to try and acomplish this. I am just about ready to cut away some of the carb body to try and notch the screws, figured I would ask you guys first.

Dremmel tool with cut off disc. Cut down the tower and cut a new slot in the screw. Use a heat gun on the carb body, along with some PB Blaster or similar to loosen the screw. If it won't budge, more heat and PBB. Some times it takes a couple of cycles.

    Good luck

PS: carb rebuild tutorial linked in my signature.

Thank you, that's what I was looking at doing, btw I have your carb rebuild tutorial printed out in a 3 ring binder along with the service manual from BASScliff's website. I appreciate the time you put into it
